Jaws (1975)

The original summer blockbuster.  It made everyone think twice before stepping foot in the water.  Jaws was filmed on the beautiful island of Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts.  There is Up-Island (Aquinnah, Chillmark, Tisbury) which is the more rural part, and Down-Island (Edgartown, Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven) which has the more touristy sections.  Jaws was filmed mostly Down-Island.  The bus system is very user-friendly (if I can figure it out, you can figure it out) and most locations are not far from where it drops you off.  The one exception was the Brody House, which was about a mile bike ride (there are bike rentals aplenty across the island though).  A good two days should get you to all the locations plus some from Jaws 2 (1978) and, yes, Jaws: The Revenge (1987)

    1. Thanks, Kevin! Jaws is a classic. I first saw on tv when I was about nine. I'm still terrified to get into the ocean.

    2. "Almost" ditto your ocean comment ! ! LOL

I've been going to VA & N.C. beaches every summer for decades and ~honestly~ have never put my foot into the 2-inch splashing water w/out looking left & right for 'something' swimming.

I'm not afraid to say that the movie has brainwashed me ! !
      **A fan forever..
